When and Where
Both our ceremony and reception will be held at the Wigington Pavilion on Harriet Island in St. Paul, MN. The ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the south terrace and will be followed by an indoor reception, including a light dinner, music, and as much fun as we can pack in. In the case of rain, the ceremony will also be held indoors. If you want to know more about what to expect at a Jewish ceremony, visit the
chuppah page.

This event is a celebration of who we are as individuals and as a couple. We're doing as much as we can to make this wedding both symbolic and fun.

Menu
Our reception will include a light dinner buffet catered by
Pizza Luce. The buffet will consist of

  • Caeser Salad, Greek Salad, and House Salad
  • Vegan Bruschetta
  • Artichoke Dip Ramekin
  • A variety of pizzas, including meat, vegetarian, and vegan options
  • Cheesecake for dessert!
  • An assortment of non-alcoholic canned & bottled beverages

    Fun and Games -- literally
There will be dancing at our reception -- we have a terrific DJ named Jake Rudh who does freelance DJing around the Twin Cities. Jake will be taking requests at the reception, but if there's something you really want to hear, you'd be best off letting us know now. That way we can tell him in advance and/or provide the songs, if they're something he doesn't already have (just be aware, however, that you can request the chicken dance as many times as you want, but it ain't gonna happen). So...

If dancing isn't your thing, don't worry -- there'll be other things to do too. We've already decided to include board games and a few other games, like Twister, but we want your input, too. What fun games or activities would you like to see included in our evening?

    About the Location
The pavilion on Harriet Island was designed by St. Paul architect Clarence Wigington. He was the first African-American municipal architect in the country. If you'd like to see some photos of the pavilion,
here are some that we took in August 2003. If you'd like to know more about the history of Harriet Island, check out this website by the city of St. Paul.

    Directions
Harriet Island is easily accessible from downtown St. Paul. From Kellogg Blvd., turn onto Wabasha St. and proceed across the bridge onto Harriet Island. Turn right on Plato Blvd. and follow the second fork to the right. Turn right onto Dr. Justice Ohage Blvd and follow the road into the parking lot.
